ten things that break my heart

  1. far more kids signing up for summer camp as for a mission trip
  2. sports or other activities taking priority over church or youth group
  3. families thinking their child can’t go on (insert relationally strategic event) due to lack of money
  4. divorce
  5. death
  6. kids thinking they’re too cool to connect with God in private or corporate worship
  7. kids growing up too soon (especially young girls dressing too sexy too soon)
  8. kids getting hurt on my watch
  9. kids who try so hard to impress others that they alienate everyone around them
  10. kids who encounter the Messiah and walk away unchanged

So true. Unfortunately this list is universal. I could see our own teens in every one of those. I wish teens could step outside of their selfishness for two minutes and understand the spiritual depravity they find themselves in. Thanks for sharing your heart. Keep plugging along though. There are lives you are changing that you may never know about this side of eternity.
